Otherwise known as baking soda, sodium bicarbonate is an alkaline chemical that raises the pH of your pool. In general, 0.6kg per 40,000L will increase alkalinity by about 10ppm. You should add sodium bicarbonate in stages rather than in one application, to ensure you don’t raise the pH level too high.
