Sodium bisulphate is a strong acid that is used to decrease the pH of the water. Add this chemical to water (always add acid to water, never adding water to the acid) and slowly add to the pool. Wait six hours before retesting. Never allow swimmers in the pool until four to six hours after the pool water has been tested and deemed acceptable.
